Efficient navigation even off-road

Where normal road navigation devices are of no further assistance to the user, is where the tw700 makes full play of its performance. Navigation tasks can be performed worldwide even off the beaten track using low-cost, topographical map tiles or freely available Open Street Maps. Checking remote buildings, geo data capture in rough terrain, following and logging cable and pipeline routes using GPS-data: the tw700 supports all this and even more. The car-kit ensures that the tw700 can be affixed to the windscreen in such a way that the route is always within sight. The powerful 2,700 mAh battery packs sufficient reserves for intensive use throughout the working day.

Reliable Navigation

The tw700 comes with a full set of Open Street Maps preinstalled and can be upgraded with cost-saving and region-specific 100x70-kilometer topographical map tiles. Thanks to its data communications capabilities, new maps can easily be installed while travelling.  At www.takwak.com, managers and team heads can quickly plan tours and save them to their staff’s tw700 devices as GPX tracks, thus fostering the efficient deployment of field sales or remote workers.

Topographical map tiles are available to download or for streaming for many countries, e.g. Germany, for EUR 3.99 each. World wide Open Street Maps can be downloaded free of charge – directly from the tw700 via the takwak server.

Individual route planning

takwak knows that good preparation is essential for the efficient deployment of the field sales force. That is why we offer our customers a takwak online planning tool for route planning. This enables compilation of a customised route. Whether from A to B, from A to D via B and C, using unmetalled or metalled roads, the planning tool will always find the right route. The itineraries generated can then be transferred directly from the PC to the tw700 or e-mailed to the employee. Planning variants are available for deploying employees on foot or even on bicycle. Of course, ad hoc route planning is possible on the tw700 as well. Here too, route planning can differentiate between variants for pedestrians, bicycle or car.
