“Mobile Computing for/ during the Mission”, this is the theme for this year’s AFCEA exhibition on May 9 and 10, 2012, in Bad Godesberg near Bonn. Takwak will leverage this forum to present its robust multi-functional solution tw700 to visitors from public administration, authorities and the Bundeswehr. For the first time globally, the handy and Android-based device integrates a GPS navigation solution with smartphone and Walky Talky functionalities and is therefore predestined for such user scenarios. Apart from navigation on and off roads, the tw700 guarantees unconditional communication with companions in critical situation and even if no mobile network is available. Coming with the unique Group Navigation, teams can easily interact at operation places of all kinds and deployment may efficiently be controlled from a central base.

At the booth B7, AFCEA visitors have the opportunity to be convinced of the tw700’s diverse functions and the easy Android-based handling and flexibility.

Predestined for hard business use: takwak at CeBIT 2012

by takwak

Under the theme “Engineered in Germany”, takwak has developed the world’s first multi talent, that brings together GPS navigation, smartphone and Walky Talky in a single, ruggedized and Android™-based device. IP57-certified, the tw700 is qualified for deployment in inhospitable areas or rough handling and allows mobile collection of data, on- and off-road navigation as well as communication in areas without mobile network. With its innovative group navigation, work teams may be more efficiently guided on business premises, big construction sites or during communal tasks, while team members can interact directly with each other.

Based on the Android™ operating system, the tw700 can easily be integrated in existing IT and compliance systems or may be complemented with industry-specific applications.

We are looking forward to meeting new business users and available as a partner for software and solution providers. Come and see us at the Wearable Technologies Area, hall 8, booth C20.

Together with GEODOG® at IWA 2012

by takwak

At this year’s IWA & Outdoor Classics 2012 (March 9 through 12, Fair Nurnberg), we are presenting an new cooperation that is especially interesting for hunters and foresters, but also for dog owners in general. Together with GEODOG, market leader in dog detection, we will introduce an innovative system that lets you know where exactly your dog is at any time. This is based on the GPS collar and our ruggedized outdoor navigation system. This indicates exactly where your dog is on the navigation screen of the tw700, while the collar’s integrated acoustic function enables dog owners to give commands even outside the calling distance. In addition, you may intercept surrounding noises in your dog’s position or receive automatic alerts if the dog enters or leaves pre-defined zones. Anyone who frequently enjoys nature with his dog or is dependent on the dog for job purposes will find perfect support in the products of GEODOG and takwak. Visit us in hall 6, booth 334 and let us convince you.
